I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Biological Sciences at St. John's University, where I study molecular evolution in the Santos Lab — from reptile hemoglobins to the genomics of chemical defense in poison frogs — with roots going back to my undergraduate years in a computational biochemistry lab, where molecular dynamics modeling led to my first publication. Alongside the Ph.D., my training deliberately crosses lanes: a B.S. in biochemistry (Hunter College), a graduate certificate in applied bioinformatics (UC San Diego), and industry data work — structuring thousands of datasets for AI/ML and building cloud-ready, reproducible pipelines. The thread that ties it together is people: I teach undergraduate biology and a graduate bioinformatics workshop, mentor student researchers from high school through master's programs, and translate science for public audiences. That mix — research depth, industry practice, and classroom experience — is what I bring to any team, whether in academia, industry, or teaching.
